Nigeria Football Federation snaps up third new sponsor of 2018

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has entered into a partnership with Nigerian Breweries.

The five-year deal sees the brewery support the country’s national soccer team and includes the option of an extension.

The deal was brokered by the Pamodzi Sports Marketing Company, the NFF’s marketing agency. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Pamodzi’s chief executive, Mike Itemuagbor, said that Nigerian Breweries will commit a “huge sum”.

The latest sponsorship is the third such deal announced by the NFF in January, following a five-year US$4 million contract signed with soft drinks company Coca-Cola and a partnership with financial services provider Wapic Insurance.

Nigeria have qualified for this year’s Fifa World Cup in Russia and will face off against Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D.
